We had a wonderful stay! The hotel is in an awesome location—centrally situated and just a short walk to the waterfront and the heart of the city. It made getting around so easy, whether I wanted to explore the sights, dine out, or enjoy a stroll along the water. The convenience of the location really made the experience perfect.
Yes it’s rundown, and if you’re expecting everything to be ‘perfect’ then this is the wrong place, but it does have a certain fading retro-charm to it, and all the basics are there and work well enough. Decent deal for downtown in the off season.
The hotel is mid-tier to low budget, very dated but it's on a prime location between the park island to the aquarium 15 minute walk, 15 minute walk to the cruise port and abundance of eatery locations. Especially a breakfast spot across the street. Again, VERY dated but it's definitely a good spot if ur about to go on a cruise and only staying for a few days. Rooms is decent enough, and see better days, but bathroom and bedroom is convenient enough. Also wifi and cable TV is a plus. Also sofa is comfortable Very recommended
Lovely little hotel in a fantastic location. Yes, the furniture, fixtures and fittings are outdated, but the hotel is very clean, and the staff are excellent. I had an amazing view from my suite, and it had perfectly adequate facilities for a few day's stay. This hotel even has laundry facilities, which I found useful. I would recommend this hotel as a nice place to stay in Vancouver.
From the moment I arrived, Asna on front desk was incredibly helpful and friendly. I arrived on the day of the marathon, and even though the staff were busy, Asna made time to make me feel welcome. I was two hours early for my room, but Asna found one that was ready anyway. And it’s extremely nice: large bedroom, kitchen, lounge room, and a view over Vancouver Harbour. What a great way to be welcomed to this beautiful city. To be fair, it is definitely value for money. Not everything works perfectly (the lift works but isn’t well signed), but with the central location, and amazing service on the desk, I could not recommend a hotel more highly than the Tropicana Suite Hotel.
The Tropicana hotel on Robson Street in Vancouver is a budget hotel We can say that our room was clean with minimal signs of wear and tear.It was clean and tidy.All the staff including Asna were very friendly. Yes the hotel is showing its age , but the staff and convenient location make up for it. It's a 15 minute walk to Pacific Centre, and about 15 minutes to Davie Street. Would recommend if you are on a budget and a fancy hotel is not a requirement
This was the most beautiful hotel we stayed in during our Greek islands trip. Wow wow wow ! The rooms are absolutely stunning and the pools are gorgeous. It very modern and very clean. They thought of everything . The service absolutely remarkable. They have drivers to take you to and from beach for free . They also can arrange drivers around town with great rates. The breakfast buffet is a MUST, everything is delicious. They have a gym and it’s great ! My favourite thing about this hotel was the service Sophia offered. She made sure everything was taken care of and made sure we had the best 20th anniversary. Thank you Sophia and team for a dream trip come true. We will be back for sure !
